Welcome to the Homepage of

Mrs. Massey

I am starting my tenth year at Bartlett Elementary School as a Speech Pathologist.

My MasterÕs degree is in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Alabama.

I received my undergraduate degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Mississippi.

My work experience consist of 19 years in the public school systems,

3 years in health care, and 11 years in private practice.

I am married and have two grown children.

Welcome to Speech.

Students work on improving communication skills.

Some students are learning to say their sounds correctly, others are working

on using their voices correctly, and using good fluency skills.

Some students are working on increasing language skills.

Start reading aloud to your children.

ChildrenÕs books can be a wonderful model of rich expressive language.  Books introduce new vocabulary and reinforce words already learned.  The written language provides models for good sentence structure.  Reading aloud to your children develops listening and attention skills.  Use this time to emphasize sounds and words that your child is having difficulty saying.
