Welcome
to Speech.
Students work on improving communication skills.
Some students are learning to say their sounds correctly,
others are working
on using their voices correctly, and using good fluency
skills.
Some students are working on increasing language skills.
Start reading aloud to your children.
ChildrenÕs books can be a wonderful model of rich
expressive language. Books
introduce new vocabulary and reinforce words already learned. The written language provides models
for good sentence structure. Reading
aloud to your children develops listening and attention skills. Use this time to emphasize sounds and
words that your child is having difficulty saying.
