Hello! My name is Kathy Lawhon. I am a
third grade teacher at Bartlett
Elementary School. I graduated from Harding University where I earned a BS
degree in Elementary Education (1-8)
and Special Education (K-12). I am
beginning my 24th year in teaching.
I am delighted to be a part of the Bartlett Elementary family and I am
looking forward to a fantastic year as we learn and grow together.

Welcome to 3rd Grade. Third grade is a transition year from primary
to intermediate level. Two high points in this busy year are learning the
multiplication facts and cursive writing.
Some goals for the students include increased responsibility, effective
organization, and the development of
study skills. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions please

REMINDERS
The RED take home folder and the Bartlett
Elementary Agenda Book will be sent home each day. Please check and sign your childŐs Agenda Book every night.
RED take home folders and Agenda Books
should be returned to school each day
Call Lesson Line every Monday unless otherwise notified.
WEEKLY WORK PACKETS will be sent home every Tuesday unless
otherwise notified. Packets will include graded papers and weekly conduct. Please review, sign, and return weekly
packets within 2 days.
Spelling pretests will be given each Monday.
Spelling Bubble Tests and Math Facts
Quizzes will be every Thursday.
Spelling dictation and Reading
vocabulary & comprehension tests are given on Friday.
