Welcome to 4th grade.  Fourth grade is the beginning of the intermediate years.  One of the main focuses is the introduction of new content area terminology.  The students go from using such words as statement to declarative and question to interrogative.  Another focus is to use books and other reference sources to locate information and to do research.   Some goals for the students include increased responsibility, effective organization, and the development of study skills.
