Welcome to the Homepage of

Ms. Keys

Hi! I am Susan Keys. This will be my sixth year as a resource teacher
at Bartlett Elementary School. I have my Bachelor’s of Arts degree in
Special Education and have been teaching for nine years. Feel
free to contact me with any questions or concerns you
may have. My phone number is 373-2610, or you
may contact me through email. Just click on my
name below. I love working with the children
and staff at Bartlett Elementary.

The K-3 Resource room is located on the second grade hall.
It is there to provide support and remediation for those Bartlett Elementary
School students who qualify according to state standards as learning disabled. The
Resource teachers provide remedial instruction and an individualized program for each
of their students. The goal of the program is to assist these students in the regular education
classroom to the greatest extent possible. In English and math I follow closely with what the regular classroom teacher is teaching. So, watch your child’s weekly newsletter or homework pad to see what we’re working on that week. As for Reading, I work on the student’s individual level. We do read novels in the latter half of second grade and throughout the third grade. Be sure to ask your child what book we’re reading now!
